Early Voting Now Open for Virginia Residents!

Early in-person voting for Amelia County begins Friday, September 20th, and it’s a great way to ensure your vote is counted without waiting in long lines on Election Day. Voting early also gives you peace of mind, knowing your ballot has been submitted well ahead of time. Plus, the staff at the Registrar’s Office are always ready to help make your voting experience as smooth as possible.
Early Voting Details:
- Location: Amelia County Registrar's Office, 9127 Washington St, Amelia Court House, VA 23002
- Hours: Mondays - Fridays, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (through Saturday, November 2nd)
Making Voting Easier for Seniors and Those with Disabilities:
For elderly persons and voters with disabilities, the Amelia County Registrar’s Office offers a convenient curbside voting option. You can vote from the comfort of your car by simply calling (804) 561-3460 when you arrive, and they’ll bring your ballot out to you. A friend or family member can also assist by picking up your ballot and returning it to the voting machine inside.
Avoid Mail Delays:
With reports that mailed ballots may not arrive on time this year, voting early in person is a great way to ensure your vote counts without any delays.
