Every spring, the heart of Amelia County beats a little louder as neighbors, families, and visitors gather to celebrate Amelia Day—our county’s signature festival honoring its founding in 1734/1735. This year marks Amelia County’s 290th birthday, and the celebration promises to be bigger and better than ever.

Amelia Day is a vibrant, family-friendly festival held in the Historic Court House Square in Amelia Court House, Virginia. It’s a day filled with live music, local vendors, delicious food, and community spirit. Whether you’re a lifelong resident or new to the area, Amelia Day offers a warm welcome and a chance to experience the charm that defines our county.

Remote Parking Shuttle: Park at Amelia County High School (8500 Otterburn Rd) and take the free shuttle running every 20 minutes from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Handicapped Parking: Available at Amelia Baptist Church (9101 Amelia Street) with a golf cart shuttle service.

Amenities: Baby changing stations and public restrooms with hand-washing stations are conveniently located throughout the festival grounds.
